The Expedient Timbre

The table outside is covered and the dinner is ready. The children already had their bath and already wear their pajamas. I am a little bit in a rush because I have a meeting at seven O’clock and I need some time to dress neatly and to refresh myself. What is missing are our guests and my husband, I hope they are coming soon because I do not want to rush while eating. We always eat dinner at the same time and we are used to that but our guests are on a holiday and don’t want to be sticking to tight schedules like we have on normal days. I understand that completely and I try to be flexible with that kind of business. So we wait patiently before we can eat our lovely dinner.
